No. Though we believe that there are dog owners who may benefit from an initial board and train program, we do not generally see it as the most effective form of training.  We believe that for the best long term results, clients should be present and engaged at all training sessions. 

Did you know that anyone can call themselves a dog trainer?! It's true! What makes us different? At Pawlite Pups, our trainer is one of the handful of CERTIFIED Dog Trainers in the area. As a graduate of Highland Canine School for Dog Trainers, she has studied the complexities of dog behavior, and is certified in On-Leash, Off-leash and Behavior Modification training. We will take the time to not only train your dog, but give you the knowledge and tools you need to communicate and build a better life together. We believe that our research driven training, transparency and genuine drive to see your pup live their best life are just a few things that set us apart.

Training lessons are usually held at your home, generally inside and outside. One on one training sessions (Trainer and Dog) can be held at or around your home or at a variety of places, including but not limited to: Lowes, Home Depot, Pet Supply Stores, Parks, Coffee Shops,  Breweries, your Job, etc. Our programs are customized to your goals, so we are willing to go where needed to do the most effective training for you and your pup!

Balanced Training simply acknowledges that not all dogs can be trained the same way. Just like humans, each dog comes with their unique sets of traits, pasts and traumas. With balanced training tools and techniques, we as dog owners have a variety of ways to successfully communicate with our dogs no matter age, breed and/or temperament.
